Award-winning restaurant Emmy Squared launches new brunch menu Emmy Squared general manager Emily Fenton joined the show to make the Arline breakfast burrito.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - A Plaza Midwood restaurant known for its pizzas and burgers recently launched its all-new brunch menu.

Emmy Squared is offering nine items on its new menu, available Saturdays and Sundays until 3 p.m.

To talk more about the new food, and to make the Arline, a jumbo burrito filled with eggs, sausage, jalapenos and more, Emmy Squared general manager Emily Fenton joined the show.

She also shared her recipe for the Arline, which can be found below.

Directions:

  1. Scramble eggs using blender until well-incorporated and foamy. Pour eggs on to well-oiled flat top grill set at 450 degrees until eggs solidify and become a pillowy consistency. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Grill breakfast sausage until seared. Chop sausage into small pieces.
  3. Warm tortilla on grill. Dress tortilla with sammy sauce in a zigzag pattern.
  4. Place 2 oz of fries on top of the sammy sauce.
  5. Place 100 grams of eggs on top of the fries.
  6. Place 20 grams of pickled jalapenos on top of eggs.
  7. Place 65 grams of breakfast sausage on top of pickled jalapenos.
  8. Place 45 grams of cheese on top of breakfast sausage.
  9. Place additional 2 oz of fries on top of breakfast sausage.
  10. Finish with sammy sauce in a zigzag pattern.
  11. Roll burrito and butter both sides.
  12. Place burrito seam side down on 450 degree grill and sear until golden brown. Flip burrito and repeat on the other side.
