CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - For the 16th year, Heart of a Champion Day is returning.
This annual event provides cardiac and multidisciplinary health screenings for student-athletes across both Carolinas, free at Atrium Health Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute and Atrium Health Musculoskeletal Institute.

Dr. David Price, a sports medicine physician at Atrium Health Musculoskeletal Institute, is the medical director of Heart of a Champion Day.
He came to the QC Life studio to talk about the importance of these screenings, which look for a wide range of conditions and abnormalities.
