CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) — Hoptown Brewing won a Bronze Medal at the World Beer Cup Competition for its sweet wings honey wheat ale.

The locally-owned brewery was founded in 2021, with the community at its heart.

The World Beer Cup is held annually; the most recent event was in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The 2024 competition included 9,000 beers from 2,100 breweries in 50 countries. 65 breweries entered the Honey Beer category.
