CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) Duke’s Hot Tomato Summer competition celebrates its fourth anniversary and this year, Indaco is getting in on the action.
Chef Travis Kirkley, culinary director of Charlotte concepts at Indigo (spell check) Road Hospitality Group, joined our show this morning to share what Indaco will be serving for Hot Tomato Summer.
Indaco is an Italian restaurant here in Charlotte located on South Boulevard.
This year, Hot Tomato Summer features over 300 participating restaurants across six cities. Guests can vote for their favorite restaurant, and the winning restaurant will receive the Golden Tomato Award.
Indaco’s entry dish will be available through July 28, and they are serving lobster toast. This dish features grilled focaccia, sundried tomato aioli, smoked trout roe, and pickled shallot.
