CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - It’s National Pierogi Day and we’re celebrating with Baba & Pop’s.
If you’ve never had pierogi before, they’re essentially dumplings that are boiled and then either baked or fried in butter. They can be stuffed with just about anything, but generally you’ll find them with potatoes and cheese.
Dessert pierogies are stuffed with fruit.
Megan Yurek, owner of Baba & Pop’s, came by to demonstrate how they make their pierogis from scratch.
