CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) -Mizu has appointed Maria Gonzalez as executive chef. Gonzalez joined the restaurant in August after relocating from Houston.
She has introduced the Brisket Sando, featuring Korean and Japanese-flavored brisket served on Japanese milk bread with spicy mayo, Joe’s Carolina Gold BBQ sauce and acidic slaw. The dish is part of Mizu’s Osusume family-style meal benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of America.
Gonzalez plans to showcase two additional items: the Tuna Bomb and Red Kurri Mussels.
