(QC Life) - Charlotte’s premier culinary talent is uniting for a powerful mission as Chefs Against Cancer returns for its 5th annual gala on Saturday, October 3, at the Charlotte Marriott City Center. Designed to honor loved ones affected by cancer while funding vital research and patient resources, the event brings together the Queen City’s top culinary minds for an unforgettable tasting experience. In the QC Kitchen, Chef Shai Fargian of Calle Sol gives an early preview of the menu, demonstrating a vibrant Peruvian Shrimp Cocktail tossed in a bold rocoto cocktail sauce.
Longtime community advocate FS Food Group is proudly supporting the initiative, with founder Frank Scibelli serving on the event board. During cocktail hour, guests can sample signature bites from beloved neighborhood concepts, including Calle Sol, Midwood Smokehouse, and Little Mama’s. Every ticket supports essential local initiatives, directly benefiting Xander’s Acts of Kindness Foundation, The Meggs Foundation, The Paula Takacs Foundation, and Barrel Aged Charities to aid childhood, young adult, sarcoma, and prostate cancer patients.
