The Flipside Restaurant Group serves up fall flavors for a cause

The Flipside Restaurant Group serves up fall flavors for a cause Chef Amy Fortes visits the QC Kitchen to craft an autumn-inspired salad supporting Chefs Against Cancer.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - Chef Amy Fortes, co-founder and owner of The Flipside Restaurant Group, stops by the QC Kitchen to whip up an exquisite Autumn Squash & Mountain Apple Salad in support of Chefs Against Cancer. Layered with fresh arugula, creamy stracciatella, pistachios, local honey, and a bold nduja vinaigrette, the dish perfectly captures the flavors of the season while giving back to an essential community cause.

For Amy and the entire Flipside team, participating in the initiative is a natural extension of their longstanding commitment to uplifting their neighbors through great food. Amy founded The Flipside Restaurant Group in 2013 alongside her husband and fellow co-founder, Chef Jon Fortes, growing the brand into a beloved Carolina culinary staple.

Today, their family of concepts includes Fort Mill favorites The Flipside Cafe, Salmeri’s Italian Kitchen, and Fortes Mill Eatery (FM Eatery), as well as The Flipside Restaurant in Rock Hill, a full-service catering company, and their newest venture, Sip & Cinder in Waxhaw, which includes their signature dishes plus barbecue.
