CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - Chefs Chris Coleman and Paco Rodriguez join QC Life to talk about Dia de Barbacoa — a Dia de los Muertos celebration with a barbacoa-themed menu from four chefs honoring Latin culture and heritage through food.
The dinner features chefs Hector Gonzalez-Mora (The Story of Mi Carino), Christian Villalvazo (Carnal), Paco Rodriguez (Paco’s Street Cart) and Chris Coleman (The Goodyear House).
Menu highlights include aguachile de camarón and calabacita a la mexicana to start, butternut squash with pipián verde and frijoles de olla, mains of barbacoa de res, pork ribs en salsa verde, and roast turkey in Jalisco-style mole with nopales ensalada, plus pan de muertos with spiced hot chocolate to finish.
An ofrenda will be set up with guests invited to bring decorations or photos of loved ones.
