CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - The weather is warming up, and a local chef is getting in the grilling spirit.

Chef Robert Adler of Ernie’s Smokehouse joined the show to talk about preparations for outdoor cooking season, including how to choose the right grill or flattop cooker.

He also shared some useful grilling tools, spices to try and how to up your overall grill game.

During his visit, he made some margarita shrimp kabobs, as well as shakshuka, a grilled Middle Eastern breakfast food.
