CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - A South End cafe came by the QC Kitchen to whip us up a plate of salmon and talk about its late-day hours.

Craig Barbour, owner and chef at Roots Cafe, joined the show to make salmon and spring cauli, as well as to share more about his menu.

Unlike many cafes, Roots is open late, with dinner from 5-10 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, featuring a small-plate menu, cocktails, wine and non-alcoholic drinks.

To hear more about the cafe and to see how the salmon turned out, be sure to check out our segment above.
