CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - Craving that coastal experience such as the food but you’re hours away from the nearest beach? For a limited time, you can experience a beach vacation in the heart of Charlotte.

Haymaker, a restaurant located in uptown, is bringing the coast to you with its Beach Vacation Menu which is available July 18- Aug. 1.

This specialty menu will include dishes such as an oyster on the half shell “BLT style,” Carolina gold rice dusted clam strips with hot honey and orange, fresh blue crab salad and more.

Chef Chris Coleman joined our kitchen and showed one of these special dishes: the oyster on the half shell “BLT style.” This dish is made with raw oysters topped with local tomato mignonette, bacon mayo and herbs.
