CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - Monday is National Potato Day in the United States, and to celebrate, we invited a couple local restaurant owners.
Torey (Chef Gouda) and LaShay Johnson, owners of Gouda’s Kitchen, joined the show to make a variety of different fries, all of which are topped with a homemade cheese sauce.
Chef Gouda and his family relocated to Charlotte in 2023 and opened a food truck, known as Gouda’s Kitchen On The Go. Four months in, the truck is doing well.
While on the show, Chef Gouda made the crabby fries, salsa fries, BBQ jerk chicken fries and the fried chicken mac and cheese fries.
To see how all the fancy fries turned out, be sure to watch our full segment above.
