CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - An organization is helping keep bellies full across the Queen City.

Victor Nicholson, executive director of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Dream Center, joined the show to talk about the organization’s efforts to feed the approximately 100,000 Charlotteans living in food insecurity.

The Dream Center partners with The King’s Kitchen and other restaurants to provide meals, and hosts food markets in underserved neighborhoods every two weeks.

Nicholson also talked about the Dream Center’s “Adopt-a-Block” weekly outreach program, where volunteers visit to provide meals, prayer and assistance with a variety of needs.

Also every two weeks, the organization hosts “Kidz Jam” to provide youth with activities and nourishment.
