CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - From edible landscapes, to meeting local chefs, Kristen Wile with Unpretentious Palate is here with all food news.

First, edible landscapes are growing in popularity! Restaurants like Zio and Your Farms, Your Table harvest from their landscapes, but so do people at home. Kales and chards are especially pretty.

The second course is about the return of the Meet the Chef Dinner Series! On Oct. 17, we’ll meet chef Jonny Cox at Fin & Fino, followed by Chef Alyssa Wilen of Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen on Nov. 7. Tickets go on sale Wednesday.

Finally, course three is the don’t-miss dish, courtesy of The Artisan’s Palate.

One of The Artisan’s Palate’s signature boards is the olive tapenade. It’s made using the warm marinated olives on the menu, and the board also includes goat cheese, maldon salt and garlic cloves.
