CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - Jason Simon, SVP of Fan Experience & Live Production for the Charlotte Hornets, and Chelsea Baron, captain of the Hornets Honey Bees, are calling on fans across the Carolinas to help “Protect the Hive” as Charlotte hits the road.
The Hornets are in Orlando to face the Magic in Stage 2 of the Eastern Conference NBA Play-In Tournament, coming off what an unforgettable night at Spectrum Center. That victory marked Charlotte’s first-ever Play-In Tournament win and the franchise’s first postseason win since 2016. With the game on the road, the team says fan support matters more than ever and there are several ways to show it.
Fans are encouraged to wear Hornets gear or purple and teal, post their game-day excitement using #ProtecttheHive. For those who want to watch with other fans, the Hornets are hosting a free watch party at Slate Charlotte in South End, starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are required, so fans should claim an RSVP at Hornets.com.
